What To Expect
Linda's retreats are designed to encourage attendees to learn about themselves through a variety of therapeutic modalities and environments. You will experience opportunities to gain insights and nurture healing by participating in the following activities:
Therapists create a safe space for sharing and supporting which enables participants to receive wisdom from one another and be drawn together on a foundation of shared experiences that reduces feelings of aloneness and shame that often accompanies the culturally induced stigma of gender diverse identities.
Processing strong feelings and releasing difficult emotions and memories is supported through a variety of activities that engage the mind and body together. These include dance therapy, art therapy, and music therapy.
An opportunity to examine the unique dynamics that are contributing to your discomfort and relational issues. Learn new techniques and strategies to help you feel closer to your gender diverse loved one, and more comfortable with the changes that are unfolding.
Accentuating a holistic approach to emotional health, retreats will offer participants an array of activities designed to relax, restore, and revitalize the body, mind, and heart. About Retreat Staff
Our retreat staff is composed of licensed psychotherapists and psychologists who are trained in gender-affirmative psychotherapy and work with transgender and gender-diverse clients and families in their private practices. All of our staff members are passionate about this work and recognize that gender-diverse individuals are healthier and happier when their loved ones understand them and can be supportive of their identity journey. Our treatment providers also understand the challenges parents and partners face and the difficult emotions and thoughts that they need to process. Our team works together to conceive and implement personally tailored experiences for each attendee.
